Wausau has a very large asian influence as we are home to many of the Hmong refugees after the Vietnam war. Sawmill is appropriately named and themed after lumberjacks and logging business that continue to have a large influence in north/central Wisconsin. Sawmill Brewing Company won the most votes in a statewide beer bracket as well as the national championship for the 2023 March Brewsanity Competition. Needlessness to say, their beer is good! Melissa loves their dark beers and the cheese board is an amazing value with an entire wedge of Satori cheese, summer sausage, and nuts for only $10.
