We went here on our first date in early September 2020. We followed with tacos from El Rodeo (another recommendation) as we didn’t want the night to end. If you’re looking for a place to beat the heat, check out Forever! ice cream shop. Their paletas are tasty, and they have a large variety to choose from!
Ale house and eatery in McAllen with indoor and outdoor seating. We went here on our third date, shared artichoke and spinach dip, and seltzers. On this date, we came to the decision to end our dating early on as the distance was too much. Alberto was in medical school in Galveston, and I was in Mission finishing my masters degree. However, come the following weekend, Alberto was back in town, and we picked up right we left it and decided to give it a try. Haven’t looked back since.
We went here on our 5th date, and this has been my favorite coffee shop for years. Staff is great, vibes are immaculate, and the coffee.. *chef’s kiss*!
Elegant dining spot in Edinburg. Resembles a vampire lair with its dark, sexy, and mysterious vibes. On this date in October 2020, Alberto asked me to be his girlfriend.
One of our favorite parks for outdoor hiking and enjoying nature. We went here the day after becoming bf/gf and enjoyed the Halloween decorations they had placed! Also in the RGV are parks: Santa Ana, Bentsen State Park, McAllen Nature Center, and community parks Tres Lagos and Bill Schupp.
South Padre Island, SPI! Great beach with good places to eat (Food and Beverage for date night), grab coffee (Karma), and relax. It holds a special place in our hearts as this is where we shared our first kiss and where several years later Alberto asked me to marry him!
