Life has tested us in the best ways and shown us just how strong we are together. Brooke started and graduated nursing school (no small feat), and Alberto proudly earned what we like to call his “Medal of Honor” for surviving it alongside her — being the steady rock she and her classmates leaned on during countless late-night study sessions. Alberto also made a big career change and has continued to grow and thrive. We moved into our first apartment, said goodbye to our sweet older kitty, and eventually grew our little fur family again. Along the way, we built a life filled with new friends, unforgettable memories, and once-in-a-lifetime adventures. One of our biggest adventures was traveling through Europe.. mostly on a whim and with very little planning. We somehow made it work (though we might plan a little more next time). That trip was a perfect reflection of us: figuring it out together, leaning on each other’s strengths, and embracing the chaos with a sense of humor. Somewhere along the way, we caught the travel bug, which makes a destination wedding feel perfectly fitting. And now, here we are. Still laughing. Still choosing each other. And so excited for forever. The Proposal: Alberto surprised Brooke in disguise of family photos at UT, hiding the ring in the photos while Brooke had no clues what was about to happen. After 5 years, he proposed! Brooke’s family was hiding and she was shocked to see she had her family and his to share this huge moment with!
