Is there a dress code?

Answer

Formal Attire: We would love for our guests to dress up with us! Men are encouraged to wear a suit and tie. Ladies are encouraged to wear midi-length dresses or floor length gowns.

When should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 7:00 PM. We kindly ask all guests to arrive at 6:30 PM to ensure everyone is seated before it starts. The ceremony is 30 minutes, so please arrive on time. The gate for entering the lawn and parking lot opens at 6:30 PM

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Our evening ceremony will be begin outdoors on the lawn, while the following reception will move indoors.

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

As much as we adore your kids, our venue has limited capacity. Therefore, our ceremony and reception will be an adults-only affair. Consider our special day as a "night out" for yourselves and enjoy!

Is there parking available?

Answer

If you plan on driving to the venue, there's free on-site parking! Through the gates of Southern Oaks (if you're coming off of Hayne Blvd), follow the driveway to the illuminated parking lot. Note* there is an "entry" and "exit" sign when pulling into the driveway. You can also find the parking lot on Wales St. Please note that overnight parking is not allowed. The gate for parking will open promptly at 6:30 pm and close promptly at 7:00 pm. Please arrive on time or you may have trouble parking until after the ceremony.

Directions to Southern Oaks

Answer

From the West / New Orleans Take I-10 East towards Slidell. Proceed over the High Rise Bridge. Exit at Crowder Boulevard (Exit 242), the third exit after the bridge. Take a left on Crowder Boulevard, toward Lake Pontchartrain. At the end of Crowder, take a left on Hayne Boulevard. Southern Oaks will be on the left side about 1/3 mile. From the East / Slidell Take I-10 West towards New Orleans. Pass Paris Road, Bullard Road, and Read Boulevard Exits. Take the Crowder Boulevard (Exit 242) and turn right onto Crowder Boulevard, toward Lake Pontchartrain. At the end of Crowder, take a left on Hayne Boulevard. Southern Oaks will be on the left side about 1/3 mile.
