We first met each other through a dating app called Hinge. Albert made the first move after noticing Sarah and sent her a "rose" signifying his interest in her. This captured Sarah's attention, and we started talking shortly after. We were both surprised at how much we both had in common from our faith, our careers as teachers, to our interests such as reading and video games. After a few weeks of texting daily, as well as having a few video calls, we scheduled our first date. We met up for coffee not knowing how long we would be talking, and ended up talking for so long we went to a restaurant after the coffee shop closed. We both knew we had stumbled upon something special, and soon made the relationship official. After the news got out, both our family and friends were overjoyed.
After we started dating, we enjoyed spending time with each other and growing our relationship. A notable milestone for us was when we took our first trip together to visit Albert's aunt and family near Seattle, Washington. During this trip, we got to experience what it was like to travel with each other. This trip was important for us to discuss our future together as a couple, and what building a life together would look like. After this trip, we both knew that we were going to commit to building a future together as a team.
After a little over a year of dating, we went on a trip to Europe, accompanied by Sarah's parents, to experience London and the beginning of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. The proposal happened in Paris on the night before the opening ceremonies with the Eiffel Tower in the background. As Albert pulled Sarah to the side and pulled out a ring from his bag, he popped the question. Sarah said yes!! We were both on cloud nine as we started this new chapter in their lives. Sarah's parents were there to capture the moment. We are both so grateful for the friends and family that have poured into our lives that brought us to this moment.
