How We Met

9.19.19

Zoey's Account: We met at on Georgia Tech Campus in the OMED building (diversity and inclusion building) I was preparing for our first workshop, and Albert was a Grad student touring the building with one of his classmates. As I worked in the office he was on his way out and caught a glance of me through the office door. He stopped dead in his tracks and he and his friend introduced themselves. I invited him to my event and he asked for my number, I genuinely though he just wanted to connect for more information on campus events so I gave him my Instagram. However over the course of a few weeks we got to know each other gradually before going on at first date on a on a beautiful October Saturday. The date was very fun and he was so nice and chill. It didn't hurt that he has super cute and had great arms! After that date I thought "Okay, it's official I'm into him!" Albert's Account: He was drug to the building were the "diversity inclusion students" hung out, by his one of his first friends on campus. Eager to end the tour early for homework he rush his friend along until he caught a glimpse of the love of his life. He immediately approached trying to play it cool. He introduced himself and go her contact information. Before he left he notice her get up from her chair and walk away. In that moment he could have sworn that she was "swishing her hips for him". That was the moment when he knew "she pretty hot!"

The Proposal

8.23.23

On the last day of a girls trip out in Jamaica, Albert informed me that he had sent gifts to the hotel for me and my friends. When I went down to retrieve them, I notice two familiar legs in the hotel lobby. Thinking I was home sick I decided to call my fiance to prove that I must have been mistaken. When the figures phone rang, I had confirmed that in fact Albert had flown into surprise with a "beach dinner". As we approached the beach, I saw a beautiful gazebo decked out with roses and candles, and a sign: "Will you marry me?" -- Obviously I said YES!
