DIANA: When I was a little girl I would dream of my wedding day. What dress I would wear, what flowers I’d smell as I walk down the isle, but most of all I would wonder what my groom would be like. It wasn’t till I graduated from CBU that I finally felt ready to start looking for my future husband. Little did I know that our lives would cross paths sooner than later. Modern technology has a role in our love story. We matched on a dating app and he FINALLY started a chat with me . (I had messaged him a month prior with NO reply) The sparks were undeniable and we wanted to see if the connection would be just as strong in person. We agreed to meet at Tomateros in Riverside. (We wanted a public place, needed to makes sure we weren’t getting cat-fished lol) As we sat across from each other, and I could not stop smiling. There was no awkward stares or uncomfortable small talk. It was if I had known him for ages. His smile had captured my attention but it was his personality that stole my heart. When I looked into Alberts eyes I knew that one day he would be my husband. (Even if he didn’t know it yet) A few more dates passed and I went from praying to God for man of faith to thanking him for placing albert In my life. Now we invite you to be a part of our continued love story.
ALBERT: The Proposal …Well I woke up early that morning excited and nervous. I turned over to Diana, as she is still asleep, smiled and said to myself “THIS IS IT ! LETS DO THIS". I was so excited, I couldn’t believe I was going to ask this amazing woman to marry me. I couldn’t sleep, tossing and turning all night. I gave up, grabbed my phone and realized my friends and family back home wishing me luck. A few minutes later I woke D up to start the day. I said “let’s get ready and go for a walk.” We took in all the beauty of Hawaii that morning. All she knew was that we were looking for “A perfect spot “ to take pictures before the luau. After walking on rocks, seeing dead crabs, and getting sprayed with the ocean mist I found my spot. I look at my beautiful baby, gave her a kiss and took an awesome picture. As the day passed by, the laughter and bar tab grew, but so did my nerves. Right before I started getting ready, wanting everything to be perfect, I throw up. 10 mins later, Alvaro shoots me a text saying IT’S GAME TIME ! We meet in the hallway to go take photos before the luau. I volunteered Diana and I to go first. We stood on the ledge with the ocean behind us, all I could think about was being with Diana for the rest of my life. I started shaking big time. Trying to find my words and fight back tears, I got down on one knee and made the best decision of my life. I continue to stumble on my well planned out words. I look up at her and the famous four word phrase rolled off my tongue without a problem. With no hesitation i got the “YES” I was waiting for months to hear. Alvaro and Montana were crying and cheering us on. You could definitely feel love in the air. We ended the night with our friends Jay and Stephanie at the luau. The gang was back together Celebrating D’s and I’s big moment. DIANA BABY I LOVE YOU!! #LOPEZFOREVER2021 -Ponsa Out
