Things To Do

Colorado National Monument

Monument, CO

This is a beautiful location to see the Milky Way at night - and it also may have been one of the best dates Albert surprised me with when we first visited Colorado. Even better, it's drivable all the way up to the top if you don't feel like walking at all.

Grand Mesa National Park

Grand Mesa, Grand Junction, CO 81501

This is the world's largest flat-topped mountain, covering roughly 500 square miles at elevations over 10,000 feet. If you're lucky and bring some sunflower seeds, you can see some friendly chipmunks at the Land's End Observatory! Warning: the roads are very bumpy and only half paved in certain areas.

Downtown Grand Junction

101 South 3rd Street, Grand Junction, CO 81501

Downtown Grand Junction is vibrant and pedestrian-friendly! It's a perfect location to grab some souvenirs or a bite to eat. P.S If you get the chance, one of our favorite stores there is Bella Balsamic & The Pressed Olive. It's a specialty shop that sells every flavor of olive oil/balsamic vinegar you can think of (and you can taste all of them too).
