Ian and Callie’s love story begins in Boston, Massachusetts during their Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Due to social distancing, they first met over zoom where they got to know each other with silly ice breakers such as “two truths and a lie.” The following winter, they truly discovered their shared sense of humor while on a group ski trip to Mt. Snow, Vermont. While everyone was playing drinking games, Ian and Callie were off in their own world laughing at each other’s jokes. That spring, they had their first official date at Winter Hill Brewing. They bonded over mutual hobbies of skiing, rock climbing, hiking, and camping. A few more brewery dates later and less than three months into dating, they decided to drive across country to their first PT clinical rotation in the Pacific Northwest. On their way, they stopped in Wisconsin where Ian met Callie’s family for the first time. He was showered with cheese curds, kringle and Spotted Cow. They of course made sure to hit some National Parks on the way as well. This trip laid the foundation in their relationship to always seek new adventures together. As travel Physical Therapists, they have enjoyed living in California, Colorado, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Arizona. Despite traveling for work, they have hit major milestones in their relationship including adopting their cat, Sebastian, and buying their condo in Dillon, Colorado. After the wedding, Ian and Callie will continue as travel Physical Therapists with Alaska at the top of their bucket list!
