We met at Antelope Crossing Middle School. Although we were never in the same class, we were both part of Chess Club and had the same friends. During the hotter days near summertime, we would stay after school and have water bottle fights with our friends at Tetotum Park.
We dated for a short time in middle school. Our fondest memory was going to the Firework show at Tetotum Park for the 4th of July.
We went to different High Schools and Colleges, but crossed paths again playing the Pokemon Go game. Kyle invited Ariana to join him and his friends to play on Wednesday nights. We began spending more time together as friends, and realized it felt like fate kept bringing us together. But this time, the timing was finally right.
Kyle began the surprises the Friday before Mother's Day. He flew Ariana's mom in from Florida as a "Mother's Day" surprise, and told her that his family was having a Mother's Day lunch at Tetotum Park the following day. On Saturday, the Tenazas family began setting up tables, chairs, canopies, and the grill and started cooking. Kyle brought up the first photo we took when we were kids at a spot close-by and suggested that we recreate that photo. After taking the photo, Kyle got down on one knee. After Ariana said yes, we walked back for Kyle's third, and final surprise. Ariana's family and friends came out of hiding the celebrate the holiday and proposal! It was the perfect weekend.
