Question

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony will be held at The White Chapel on Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology's beautiful campus (Rose Hulman Institute Rd, Terre Haute, IN 47803). As you enter campus, take a left and drive straight as far as you can. You'll end up in a parking lot with Procopo Hall and the chapel on your right. Park there and walk down to the ceremony. The reception will be held at The Main Event (10001 E Margaret Dr, Terre Haute, IN 47803), which is only about a 12-minute drive from The White Chapel. We do apologize, as you will have to travel on some backroads.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is parking on the Rose-Hulman campus, where the ceremony will be held. The residents of Percopo Hall will be graciously vacating the parking lot in front of their dorm for our celebration. From that parking lot, it is a short walk to the White Chapel. Our reception venue, The Main Event, also has plenty of parking available along the sides of the building for our big day! Please do not park in front of the main entrance.

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be dearly missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP 'no' so that we can plan accordingly, thank you!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up with us; however, we are not enforcing a strict dress code! Wear something you would feel comfortable going to church in. Please do not wear colors typically reserved for the bride (white, ivory, beige).

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

We love your children dearly and would love to have them attend our special day, but please make sure they are on their best behavior! Please note, our reception venue enforces a strict policy that no children under 16 are allowed on the stage and must be supervised at all times!

Question

Can I bring a date/guest not noted on my invitation?

Answer

We have addressed the invitations to the people we would love to come. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP on our website. Please ensure that you are RSVPing for yourself & your guest. Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Thank you for being so generous! Yes, we are registered through Zola and Amazon. Since our registries are linked, if you choose to purchase an item that happens to be on Amazon, Zola will automatically redirect you there. You can find all of our registry information under the 'registry' tab on this website. If you aren't sure what we might want, there are also cash fund options.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

Yes! We have reserved 10 rooms for both the night of Friday, September 2nd, and Saturday, September 3rd at the Home2 suites by Hilton. For more information, please visit our accommodations tab.

Question

Can I take pictures during the wedding?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This means we are asking that all phones and devices be put away and on silent during the ceremony. Why? Well, we've hired a professional to capture some of the most important moments of our lives, and we'd hate to have a well-meaning person's phone blocking that moment for them to capture. We promise to share the ceremony photos as soon as we get them! After the ceremony, feel free to take as many pictures as you want. We will even have some QR codes throughout the reception venue that you can scan to share those photos with us! For more information, please scroll to the bottom of the home page.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking some final photos and will then be heading straight to the reception venue. We invite guests to head straight to The Main Event after the ceremony. While waiting on the bridal party, we invite guests to sign the guest book, drop off gifts, or enjoy a drink from the coffee bar. The wedding party will be there shortly for introductions and to get the party started.

Question

Will food be served at the reception?

Answer

Yes! There will be a full taco bar available for guests to enjoy. We will also have tea, water, and lemonade to drink. After dinner, guests can enjoy a sweet treat from the dessert bar.

Question

Are there any outdoor activities?

Answer

Yes, if the weather is cooperative! At the reception, we have access to a fire pit, which we plan to use for a bonfire, and will have a smores bar available. For a little extra fun, we will have cornhole boards and other outdoor activities for both adults and kids.
