We were in Vegas for Dante’s 21st birthday! We went on a big family trip to celebrate him. Our last night there we had reservations at Gordon Ramsay Hells Kitchen. Any Gordon Ramsay show is our absolute favorite we were so excited to finally try the food that we always see on tv. We had an amazing dinner with all of our family and as we were leaving we stopped to take a picture in front of the kitchen. I had no idea what was coming we took a “picture” but it was really a video and Dante asks the waiter “you got the video”. I was so confused I looked at him and said “what?” as he’s reaching in his pocket and I see a beautiful ring in his hand. He asked me to marry him and of course the answer was yes! After he got up the entire restaurant starts clapping and cheering for us. It was such an unforgettable moment. He didn’t tell a single person that he was doing this even the waiter who recorded it had no idea until it was happening. The waiter did a phenomenal job at recording our proposal. He did not only record the proposal itself but also got our families reactions as well. We can’t even how many times we have watched our video it will forever be so close to us.
Our story begin on December 4, 2019! It was our senior year of high school. We met in our advisory class. We both enjoyed that class a lot more after we met. Shortly after, our winter break started and we made the most of it. We spent so much time together during those 3 weeks and went on countless dates. The unexpected then came in 2020 when Covid came and shut down all schools. We didn’t get to finish the rest of our senior year but we didn’t mind because that meant more time to spend with each other. Prom was also canceled but Dante secretly planned our very own prom. He decorated the entire basement of his house as an actual prom would look like. He got dinner delivered for us and even had a red carpet rolled out. It was so meaningful to us to still be able to experience our senior prom together. Within the next month we received our cap and gowns and took graduation pictures together. We finally graduated shortly after! We were separated into two different graduation days so we didn’t get to see each other walk and get our diplomas but we both made sure to sign our names right next to each other on our class poster. We are both very grateful to have met each other in high school and love the life we have built together.
