A Columbia classic famous for their over-sized cinnamon rolls! Visit their original Devine St. location downtown, or stop by their new Lexington location for breakfast or lunch. Alayna loves the Bananas Foster cinnamon roll, and Zola Jane is a fan of the Farmhouse breakfast sandwich.
Our favorite coffee spot in Irmo! Susan (Zola Jane's mom) has been a loyal customer of theirs since they first opened, and it has become a tradition for us to grab coffee here whenever we visit her. Zola Jane's go-to order is the Local Honey Latte and Alayna's is an iced Americano!
Back where it all began... It won't come as a surprise to anyone that Alayna and Zola Jane stopped here for ice cream on their first date back in May of 2022. Sweet Cream serves many unique flavors of handcrafted ice cream, but we can't say our favorites because their flavor options are always changing! Be sure to try one of their homemade waffle cones if you stop by!
The Hoot is a local, LGBTQ+ friendly, vegan restaurant and bar in the Rosewood neighborhood of downtown Columbia! Ben (Zola Jane's dad) and his wife, Jennifer, are bona fide regulars. Once, they went 3 times in 24 hours! We love walking there from Zola Jane's house for dinner, and always get the tater tots with whatever meal we order. If you happen to go for their Sunday brunch, make sure you order the crispy potatoes!
One of our favorite restaurants in Columbia! We've gone on many dates here and have never had a meal we didn't love. Some of our most frequent orders are the bibimbap and the japchae. The drinks are fantastic, too!
Columbia's biggest farmers market, open every Saturday (rain or shine) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m! A great activity for locals and visitors alike. With live music, local produce, flowers, baked goods, handmade crafts, and more -- there's something for everyone to enjoy!
For an easy and beautiful walk along the river, visit the West Columbia Riverwalk! We've loved starting at Piecewise (2001 State St. Cayce, SC 29033) and grabbing to-go coffees to take with us as we walk along the shaded path.
