We met in 2020, right before our junior year of college. It was chaotic times all around, but somehow we found each other. Kaiden was immediately all in. Alayna... not so much. She friend-zoned him pretty quick and kept it there for a few weeks. (Sorry.) That changed the night before her 21st birthday. At 11:50PM, she sent Kaiden a text asking if he wanted to come do birthday shots. Five minutes later, he was at her door. No questions asked. That’s when she realized—okay, maybe this wasn’t just a friendship. Ten days later, Kaiden brought her to a hangout with his friends. When his best friend Al gave him a subtle thumbs up, Kaiden decided to shoot his shot—for real this time. “So... are we still just friends?” Alayna, in true form, replied, “No, but that doesn’t count as you asking me to be your girlfriend.” Kaiden took the hint, asked her officially, and that was that. From there, we built a life together—starting with trips back and forth to the other's apartment, meeting families, and celebrating our first-date anniversary (August 29) at Bella Milano every year. We made traditions. We grew up - together. In 2023, we moved in together—with our best friend Krista, because we love a sitcom setup. In 2024, we got our own place, bought a couch we’re way too proud of, adopted a dog, and got a Sam’s Club membership, which felt like a very adult moment. Then came June 2025. We planned a trip to Chicago with some of our closest friends. Kaiden had a plan. In a quiet park overlooking the skyline, he got down on one knee. Alayna said yes (obviously). And now, we’re here—somehow older, still very much in love, and ready to celebrate with all the people who mean the most to us. Let’s do this thing.
