At the end February of 2020, right before COVID, Yasmine spontaneously took Lettie to a Spanish Kingdom hall in Lakewood on a Friday night. Lettie, being the introvert she is, refused to go until she was bribed with boba. (Lol) Unknowingly she was set up on a blind date, but became good friends with both him and his wingman. She talked all night and clicked with this wingman, Alan Marquez. Fast forward to May 2020, Lettie and Alan shared many common interests. One of their main interests in common was music, specifically electronic music. So Lettie shot her shot and DMed Alan asking if he was going to watch Secret Sky 2021 - an online music festival. Alan was surprised but agreed to watch along. They laughed and bonded over new and cherished music together. For a whole month they talked as friends, until Lettie revealed she was catching feelings! *gasp* June 5, 2020 was the start of our relationship. For a year despite having to socially distance as much as possible, we dated until April 10th 2021 when Alan proposed. Since then it has been a busy time to plan a wedding to be as simple as possible. I can’t wait to marry my best friend alongside our family, friends, and congregations virtually. See you all soon.
