THANKS FOR WITNESSING OUR JOURNEY OF LOVE!

Our story begins in a hotel on 42nd street - no - not like that! I was the nerdy sneakerhead leading the Nike training session and bragging about my sneakers, and Alanna was the cool eclectic girl with a bold hairstyle to match her dynamic personality. We hit it off immediately - professionally of course! My job required me to visit Nike stores in NYC, and Alanna quickly became one of my go-to connects at her store. Eventually Alanna would leave Nike for better opportunities, but we would stay connected through social media. Years later, Alanna popped up on my feed looking PHENOMENAL! A brother took a mental note and kept it moving. Fast forward to 2016 and me and my guys were at at one of my favorite spots in the City. It was one of Alanna’s favorite spots as well and she was there with her homegirl from out of town (Angie aka “Japan!” Lol). Alanna had the waiter tap me on my shoulder. When I turned around and seen her wave with her radiance, a fresh Miami tan, and slaying a short blond cut, I reacted as if I was seeing a dear friend I hadn’t seen in years! In 2013 she was really my homie, y’all! Anyways - we conversed for a second, then she asked for my number and said “You should text me back…” Me being the literal guy I am, I thought she just meant about Nike. Eventually I caught on and said “Oh, Oh! Okay!” All I could say after was “fellas I think I just got scooped!” We texted non-stop and realized we had a ton in common including our values, backgrounds, views on relationships, music, love of family etc. The connection we made in 2013 was not a fluke and all it took was the stars aligning and Divine Timing to make us find each other again. I’m not exaggerating when I say that we haven’t stopped talking since then. Honesty has always been a key tenant in our relationship, so one day I said to her, “hey I’m really considering my next move in my career and it might take me to Oregon” When her response was "Let’s go then!” I knew unequivocally she was the one!
