We suggest flying into DTW airport. It is a short car ride from the recommended hotel and other rental accommodations.
Hotel
We have a hotel block at the Avid Hotel in Warren, MI. Reservations can be made by contacting the hotel directly or online. Online Booking Instructions: Please click the link, the hotel’s landing page will appear, put in the arrival and departure dates, go to “Rate Preference”, scroll down to Group Rate (the group code will have populated already in the Group Code box), click “NO” on are you a travel agent. Move the cursor into the white area by the Rate Preference box and click inside the Rate Preference Box it should state, “Group Rate”, click search/availability, the group’s room type, and discount rate will appear. Proceed with reservation until a confirmation # is provided. *Please be aware that reservations using the booking link need to be made on a computer, laptop, and/or tablet. You will only be able to book dates within April 23-26, 2026. The booking link doesn’t interface with our reservation system on a cellphone. **The cutoff date for all reservations is April 2, 2026. After which any rooms not reserved will be released back into general inventory and the group discount will not be available. If you prefer to stay in an Airbnb, please consider the following cities when looking for lodging from nearest to furthest: Warren, Roseville, Royal Oak, and Detroit.
