Derek and Alanna went on their first date on July 2, 2024, for a simple cup of coffee which they talked for a couple of hours. Then they decided to continue the date to Top Golf, where Derek quickly learned Alanna can’t golf. From their first date they knew this was something different; that this was God’s plan. They fell in love pretty early on and both knew they were simply meant to be; texting each other and seeing each other as much as they could. They both agree they can authentically be themselves and truly love every second they are blessed with to be with each other. They keep God as the priority of the relationship which has truly helped them grow together and grow closer to the Lord. Derek got to be there for Alanna’s baptism where she publicly proclaimed she surrendered her life to Jesus Christ. This is one of the many moments and many more to come where they keep growing closer to Christ. They will continue to keep following the Lord as they hope to create a family with future gremlins (children).
