David and Alanna met for the very first time at Compassion Expressions Mountain Sanctuary, in August of 2019. They met at an ayahuasca ceremony, which may not be much of a surprise to many of you who know by now that they devote their lives to this sacred tea from the Amazon rain forest. Over a period of time, Great Spirit arranged a life situation where they both ended up needing to move out of their current places, and looking for a roommate at the exact same time. At the peak of the pandemic in April of 2020, they moved in together, more out of necessity than out of any other interest on either of their parts (hence why we call this the ayahuasca arranged marriage). So yes, they are one of those COVID COUPLES! Only thanks to this global pandemic, David and Alanna were forced into the most glorious quarantine of fresh honey moon love. Prior to COVID hitting, Alanna had been proclaiming to everyone that she was WAY TOO BUSY to be in a relationship, and that this was the absolute last thing on her mind. The joke was really on her when COVID forced her to cancel all her events and travel plans, giving her all the time in the world to get to know her new "roommate". After only a few months, it was clear to both of them that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. Anyone that knows them, knows that they are quite unusual in their lifestyles. Alanna & David have bonded by their adventurous, unconventional, and altruistic spirits who won't ever be bound by the confines of societal norms. Together, they are creating beautiful lives and making as much of a positive impact on the world as possible through their community building and healing work. Everyone can do life on their own, but everything is so much better when you can do it, together<3
