Allison was sitting at Happy Hour at Barcocina in Fells Point and Alastair walked in all dapper in a suit and they caught each other's eyes. Alastair then walked up to Allison and said "excuse me did your grandmother knit that sweater?"" Allison then said back "no I actually bought it today and walked out of the store wearing it". It was the best pick up line ever and it totally won Allison over! Alastair & Allison then started chatting and he told her that he has a cat named "Cat" (RIP). "Cat" was the name of Holly Golightly's feline friend in Breakfast At Tiffany's (which happens to be one of Allison's all time favorite movies). They then ended up having their first date that night which included ski ball and billiards at The Point followed by a photo shoot on a vintage Jeep Wagoneer (they wish they could find those pictures). The next week they did everything together, went ice skating, walked to the Walters Art Gallery, and he introduced her to his friends. Allison comes to find out that all of Alastair's friends call him Sloth which has major significance because SLOTHS ARE ALLISON'S FAVORITE ANIMAL. At this point the stars were really starting to align...but what really sealed the deal was Alastair's first gift to Allison. It was a BACON SCENTED CANDLE to thank her for letting him crash at her place. He said the reason he got it was because "you love meat and I feel bad for making your place smell like sweaty boy". Allison was so impressed by his thoughtfulness and the fact that he already knew the way to her heart was through MEAT SNACKS. Cut to the present and Al & Al are counting down the days until they say "I do" with their 2 fur babies (cats Optimus Prime and Alberta). We cannot wait to have everyone together and celebrate! xoxox
