Please book accommodations in Delhi if you are joining for the pre-wedding activities there. As is customary at Indian weddings, we will be covering all accommodations and dining at Jim Corbett National Park for the nights of January 3rd and 4th. While in Delhi, we recommend staying in Connaught Place at hotels such as The LaLit or The Radisson Connaught Place given we will be departing on a 6:20am train from the nearby New Delhi Railway Station.
For anyone arriving for the Delhi events, we will booking a full train coach for our guests to travel to Jim Corbett on the morning of the 3rd. If you are arriving directly at Aahana, the nearest airport is in Pantnagar (~1.5 hour drive). Depending on the number of guests arriving by air, we may arrange group transportation closer to the wedding date.
Check-in on January 3rd will be at 2pm. Check-out on January 5th will be at 11am.
सडक का खाना (street food) is one of the great joys of India's bustling cities. We recommend enjoying it cautiously and sticking to freshly-prepared, hot food at the most bustling stalls. Maintaining a vegetarian diet while in India is generally safer and you will not feel deprived in the least. Do not drink tap water. Getting around within Delhi is generally easy by both the pristine modern metro system or by auto-rickshaws that are readily available on all main roads (and can be ordered via Uber). If you are transferring to a domestic flight at IGI, note that the domestic terminal is a 20 minute drive from the international terminal with NO direct connection. The fastest way to transfer is by hailing a black-and-yellow cab from outside the terminal.
Yes, just please let us know when you are RSVPing.
There is a 4pm flight from Pantnagar Airport to Delhi on January 5th. We will make transportation available to the airport, and depending on demand, may also make shuttle service available directly to Delhi closer to the date.
