They became fast friends and bonded over their similar straight forward personalities, love for gin and dark beers, football and always wanting a sister. While their careers took them on different paths for awhile, they eventually worked together again at Arizona Home Care, but their friendship always stayed . Their friendship has grown over the years, both refer to the other as their "chosen family". Dena and her husband Anthony have been married for 12 years. They have 3 children.

They have frequent phone dates to stay up to date on each others lives. When Marissa goes back to GR, Kim's household is a must visit. Marissa and Kim both refer to each other has their "Chosen Family" . Kim and her husband Vijay have been married for 12yrs . They have a son .

Andie and Marissa met in college. Andie joined Marissa's sorority Zeta Tau Alpha. Marissa became Andie's Big Sister in ZTA. Over the years after college, Andie and Marissa have stayed close. Frequent phone dates, care packages and texts keep each other up to date on the other's busy life. Andie and Marissa are more like sisters than friends. Andie and her husband Michael have been married for 5yrs. They have a son, who is Marissa's Godson.

Aaron and Marissa became quick friends when they were on the board of the sorority, eventually Marissa became President and Aaron was the Vice President of the sorority. After college, Aaron and Marissa made a list of 10 places they wanted to live, whomever got a job first, that's where they would move. Aaron received a job offer in Phoenix Arizona, and a month later the girls moved across the country together. Marissa and Aaron lived together in phoenix for over 5 years, before they each moved in with their significant others. They are more like sisters than friends. Aaron and her husband Ryan have been married for 1 yr.

Alan and Brett met back in high school, even though they went to separate high schools in Phoenix, they were both part of the Boys State Program. After attending college at Standford, Brett followed his entrepreneurial spirit which landed in places like D.C. and Miami for many years. Brett returned to Phoenix shortly after Alan and Marissa started dating. Immediately after meeting, Marissa and Brett developed a close friendship.

William and Alan met in JROTC during their high school years. Throughout high school their friendship developed into one that would last a lifetime. After high school, William followed in his father's footsteps, and enlisted in the United States Air Force. After deployment, he returned to Phoenix, where they picked up right where they left off. William met his wife Angela in Phoenix, they have two children.
