It all started in the most modern way possible, Facebook Dating (we know, right?). Of all things, it was Kaylin’s profile picture in a Busch Light shirt that sealed the deal for Alan. You could say she had him at “cheers.” After a few months of chatting back and forth, Alan and Kaylin finally decided it was time to meet in person. Their first date was at Longhorn Steakhouse in Minot. Alan was already skeptical when Kaylin didn’t order a steak (red flag? maybe). And how did the night end? With a handshake yes, really. But don’t worry, things got better. More dates followed, and slowly but surely, they got to know each other. Then came the big moment: Alan asked Kaylin to be his girlfriend. But... there was a catch. She couldn’t answer right away, it was his sister’s birthday, and Alan was worried that a rejection might ruin the day forever (no pressure, Kaylin!). Thankfully she said yes! And the rest, as they say, is history.
