We met through a mutual friend Aleah Engell. Katelynn was coming up to have a relaxing few days with Aleah & Aleah wanted Katelynn to meet the friend circle in Colville & go on adventures. The first night was icecream, pizza, watching stars on top of a mountain, a bonfire at the beach, & listening to Christian music while telling stories. It was a whirlwind of a weekend that Katelynn was not expecting, but was an epic kickstarter to a new life.
St. Patrick's day....This day's events happened mid morning as the previous evenings activities kept us up till 3:00 AM. But after guzzling some coffee and rounding up the Squad, we began our next adventure. Aleah Engell, Isaac Engell, Katelynn, and myself packed in the pickup and headed to Spokane to watch I Can Only Imagine opening weekend in theaters. We met up with Hannah Philly and proceeded to our designated seat in the packed sold out theater. There's a good story there that hopefully Katelynn will be able to share at some point. It just so happened that our designated seats that we where given put Katelynn and I right next to each other. No complaints here :) We finished out the night as was our custom by taking a trip to Shari's diner and ordering breakfast and milkshakes. We hit up Shari's frequently because they are open 24hrs. I'm not sure exactly what time it was when we finished up that day, but I do know that however late it was it made it hard for every one to make it to church on time the next morning.
Hannah the Heaven Sent....Hannah has this amazing ability to pack in tons of activities on Friday and Saturday with very little sleep and yet still be able to get up early in the morning on Sunday and be to church extra early and save seats. This Sunday was no exception. I seem to recall walking in as the music started and seeing Hannah, Isaac, Travis Sewers, and Kristie Macarthur already there, but Aleah and Katelynn were nowhere to be found. They did however did make it sometime mid service ;) After church a very large group of us from different churches met at Maverick's for lunch. I want to say there were around 12 friends. This was thanks to Abigail Greenhagen and an upcoming event she was planning with all of us. After lunch the girls ditched us guys and went for a Sunday drive. I remember being sore about being left out and decided to go for my own drive. That didn't turn out too well. I ended up hitting a deer and spent the rest of the day fixing the side-panel of my truck so that the passenger door could open. All in All though it was a fantastic first three days with Katelynn and set the bar high for the future adventures.
