Joe and Alan knew each other in high school but didn't become friends until the end of Alan's freshman year, of college after spending all day drinking and doing Jager bombs. They became fast friends who complement each other well - with Alan's wild side and Joe's usually more subtle approach.

Alan and Frank met when they hopped in Frank's truck to drive 5 hours to eastern Oregon for a bachelor party. They immediately became best friends. Frank is one of the kindest people who always takes care of his friends.
