Chernele's Point of View: I sliiiiiddddeeee in his DM's! lol It's funny but its the truth. One day on Instagram I notice a post from Alan, and it seemed like he could use some words of encouragement. I didn't know him personally but I wanted to send some good energy his way. So I sent him a DM encouraging him to pray about whatever the situation may have been. He responded and from that day on we became social media friends. Fast forward to a couple of months later and I was getting ready to graduate from college. We had built somewhat of a friendship online so I decided to invite him to my graduation party (keep in mind we never met in person before) and to be honest I didn't think he would really come. Well boy was I wrong. As I slowed danced with my father during my graduation celebration, I noticed a familiar face in the corner near the entrance of the party. It was Alan, and he looked FINE ya'll. Ookkkkuuurrr (Cardi B voice*) Lol! It was the 1st and as you can tell certainly not the last time we met! All I can say is thank you INSTAGRAM..... I found my happily ever after!
Alan's point of view We throw an annual birthday party named Gemini vs Cancer and I invited all of our friends and family out to the event as usual. We partied the night away like we normally do and there was a segment where we thanked everyone for coming out to support us. I let her speak first to the crowd and they cheered her on. It was now my turn to speak and thanked everyone for coming out to celebrate with us... Next, I gave her a very special thank you speech, which then led to a singer from YouTube named Hasan Green whom we both love, singing "This is Why I Love you" while we slow danced. There were a lot of tears flowing in this moment from everyone, even my soon to be Fiancee.... after our dance I spoke about the very first moment I laid eyes on her and that she is an epiphany of a strong black woman that weathers many storms without losing the goodness of her character.. You can guess what happened next, I proposed to her! She was so nervous, she proceeded to give me the wrong hand and I was so nervous I put the ring on the wrong hand given to me. LOL! No worries I quickly moved it to her correct hand, and it was official, she was on her way to becoming Mrs.Lloyd. I Love You Chernele!
