Travel Note
Charlottesville does have uber/lyft etc. However, they are not always reliable and sometimes can take a long time to come, so it's better not to rely them if you need to be somewhere at a certain time. Therefore, we will be offering shuttles to and from the wedding. Shuttles will pick up and drop off from the four hotels where we have arranged room blocks listed below. There is also lots of parking available at the venue. So, if a member of your party plans not to drink, you can easily drive yourself to and from the venue. There are also many other hotels and lots of airbnbs available in Charlottesville not listed below. If you'd prefer to book one of those, I would recommend booking a car service so you can guarantee a ride to/from the venue. There are some very beautiful, scenic airbnbs out in the country that might be nice if you want to extend your trip and enjoy the fall colors. Finally, while the room blocks ensure you will have a room at a decent rate, Alan and I just realized this weekend is Parents Weekend at UVA, so we would recommend that if you are flying, please try to book your airfare sooner rather than later! An additional note: If you try to reserve a room in a room block and they say they are "sold out," please text me or Alan! They are not actually "sold out," we just need to call and extend the block! They would only give us blocks of 10-20, but as soon as we use up all the rooms, they'll add more, so don't worry!
