If you want to join the ride, just let us know when you RSVP, and we’ll save you a seat! Let’s make it a day to remember!
Flight
For our interstate guests, we recommend flying in the night before to avoid any last-minute rush. A great option is Jetstar flight JQ917, departing at 8:20 PM and arriving at 12:25 AM. The main airport is Melbourne Airport (MEL), also known as Tullamarine Airport and trust us, skip Avalon Airport (AVV) —unless you’re a fan of long drives! Transportation from the Airport - For individuals, the SkyBus service runs frequently and takes you directly to the city center. - For those traveling in groups, we recommend using Uber for a more convenient ride.
Hotel
Our wedding venue is Yering Station Winery in Yarra Valley, which is over an hour away from Melbourne CBD. To make your experience enjoyable and convenient, we recommend that guests stay near Melbourne CBD. The CBD is lively and filled with a variety of food options, restaurants, entertainment, and shops, making it a great place to explore before and after the wedding. Plus, you can take advantage of our arranged bus shuttle service to get to and from the venue! Alternative Options: If you’re looking for nearby areas, consider staying in Southbank, Carlton, or Richmond. These suburbs are close to the city and offer their own unique charm and amenities, while still being accessible for our shuttle service. Feel free to explore accommodations in these areas to find the perfect fit for your stay, and enjoy everything Melbourne has to offer!
Travel Note
Getting around Melbourne is easy and convenient! Here are some key points to help you navigate the city: Free Tram Zone: Within the CBD, you can explore the city hassle-free using the free tram zone. There’s no need to tap on or off, making it the perfect way to see all that Melbourne has to offer! Myki System: For trains, trams, and buses outside the free zone, all use the Myki system. If you’re using an Android device, you can easily add Myki to your Google Wallet for free and top it up as needed. Alternatively, you can purchase a physical Myki card for just a few dollars at stations or convenience stores. Rideshare Services: For a more direct route, rideshare services like DiDi and Uber are readily available throughout the city. They offer a convenient way to get to your destination without the hassle of public transport. Planning Your Journey: We recommend using the PTV app or Google Maps to find public transport routes and plan your travel around the city. It’s user-friendly and will help you get where you need to go! With these options, you’ll have no trouble exploring Melbourne and making the most of your visit!
