Alana Robert and I met when we were kids. Neither one of us thought that we would be getting married in the future. However God had other plans. (Jeremiah 29:11) Our parents were good friends and I had become friends with his sister from 4-H, and he was the little brother tagging along. Fast forward years later, a mutual friend of Robert and mine, led to the crossing of our paths again. Robert sent a friend request and I happily accepted and the rest is history. Our first date was on his Granny's 98th birthday. This date will always hold a special place in both of our hearts because it is when we became an official couple. Later Robert would propose. I planned a weekend getaway to Napa Valley wine tasting at Chandon. Robert orchestrated this special surprise with the Chandon staff. Robert proposed and everyone knew what was going on but me. It was one of the best moments of my life. Robert Our story started when we were kids. Dating each other and getting married was not on our young minds. I truly believe it was God's plan for us to be together. (Jer. 29:11) Our parents were good friends and Alana had become friends with my sister from volunteering in the community. I was just the little brother who hung out with them. I would see her in passing through the years, but the opportunity never presented itself for us to talk and get to know each other. In 2018, I was scrolling through my Facebook page and Alana showed up as a friend suggestion. I sent a friend request and she accepted. After that, we had a few conversations online, exchanged numbers and started dating. Our first date will always be special to us because it was on the same day as my grandmother's birthday. Reconnecting with Alana was the best thing to happen to me. We have so much fun and we will always love each other. After traveling overseas for work, I finally popped the question AND Alana said YES! We are looking forward to starting this new chapter together and can't wait to celebrate with all our favorite people.
