We each downloaded Bumble without much expectation - I mean seriously, who would? When we matched and started chatting back and forth, the spotty notifications and bad UI could not be ignored. We quickly befriended each other on Facebook and breathed a huge sigh of relief when that app turned out to be at least functional. We progressed from chatting about anything all day to video chatting every day. Eventually, we reached the ultimate destination of watching bad Netflix movies together while texting about them back and forth. When we decided to finally watch one together in person, peppermint hot chocolate was incorporated. While not the day when we got engaged, that was the day we both realized we had something special. We were able to weather dating through a pandemic, stuck together through moving in together, and somehow still made it work when we adopted a puppy. Getting engaged at Disneyland while waiting for lobster nachos was just a perfect continuation of our story. We can't wait to keep writing it.
