FAQs

Questions about the wedding can be made to: Hopeless2019@outlook.com
Question

What state will the wedding be held in?

Answer

For now the plan is to have the ceremony in Wisconsin. This is subject to change. However, we will have a 2nd informal reception in NY once we return from our honeymoon.

Question

When and where did he prepose!?

Answer

He proposed on Labor Day in Shenantaha Park outside of Malta, NY. As we started to play a game of tennis, she saw the ring lying on top of her racquet. She turned around to see him on one knee, asking her to marry him. Her response was "right now?!" which was immediately followed by, "of course I'll marry you!!!"

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Please email me at hopeless2019@outlook.com

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! We will update and send out the color scheme when finalized. Please do refrain from all black or all white.

Question

Are there other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

All events will be posted here on the website, so please check back frequently.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Children are welcome at the ceremony. We suggest you don't bring children to the reception, and if you do we ask that they depart after dinner. If you need an exception, please contact us at hopeless2019@outlook.com

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Since finalizing a guest list is difficult, please only bring a date if you have contacted us before hand.

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

Please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. We have a paid photographer and can provide photos after. We will have posted reminders for no phone use throughout the venue. We want to see your faces down the isle, not your devices! Thank you.

Question

What type of ceremony will it be?

Answer

Due to varying religions between families of the bride and groom, this will be a non religious ceremony.

Question

Will you be taking his last name?

Answer

Many of you know how important the Martalock name is to Alana. At this time there is no plan to change our names.
