Alana and Luke both attended Melrose High School.
 Being one grade apart, they were friends for many years until college. 

During her time at Worcester State University, Alana would often visit friends at UMASS Amherst. One weekend in November 2015, Alana was en route to UMASS and gave Luke a call. He had plans to visit another school so she would see him over winter break. Little did she know, Luke never wanted to miss an opportunity to hangout with Alana. Over blasting music at a party, Luke had a confession to make. 

“I stayed tonight to see you. You know how we’ve always joked about getting married? Well, I’m not kidding. I seriously do want to marry you. I’ve had a crush on you for a long time.” 

Just a few weeks later was winter break and they were already inseparable.
