Nick and Alaina met at Grand Haven high school in government class. Though they were too nervous to talk to each other at first. Weeks later, Nick approached Alaina and asked her if she drives the silver Nissan Xterra (turns out he drove the exact same car and they had been parking next to each other for the whole school year without knowing who it was). After a bit of talking, they went on their first date in Grand Haven, though Nick nearly totaled his car on the way, they dated for about a year and a half and both experienced their first love. After high school they broke up for 4 years while they went separate ways to finish college. In 2020, Nick got a job in Grand Rapids and reached out to Alaina. The two reconnected quickly and never stopped growing from there! They have been living together in Grand Rapids the past 5 years and have two (furry cat) children and are very excited to start their lives together as newlyweds.
