FAQs

The Wedding Website of Alaina Zachary and Nathaniel Shekem
You all don’t have to worry about much! I’ve probably thought of most things, but if you have questions, send me a message!
Question

What should I wear?

Answer

For the ceremony and reception we encourage ladies to wear floral formal (imagine garden party black tie) dresses and men to wear pants with a dress shirt. Can be a nice Hawaiian shirt!

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

We want to enjoy our time with you! We want you to be fully present with us on our special day. Families can join on the vacation but keep in mind no children at the ceremony or reception. They can join at the welcome event!

Question

Should we bring a gift?

Answer

You traveling to Hawaii in celebration is your gift to us. Cards would happily be accepted!

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

Since it is just a limited group of people invited, there are no blocked rooms. Depending on your price range and hotel preference, the choice is yours. The shuttles will be picking everyone up at the hotel. So as long as you are there (on time) that’s all that matters!

Question

How long should you stay?

Answer

I recommend at least 7-9 days. There’s so much to see and do!

Question

How do you get around?

Answer

I definitely recommend renting a car. The island is gorgeous and so easy to drive around. There’s so much to see in other parts of the island that relying on ride shares would be unpredictable.

Question

Which airport do we fly into?

Answer

HNL

Question

What should we do with our kids?

Answer

There are babysitting services on the island. Bring along a family member or reach out to see if one of my parents church friends or students could help out. It will be a long day 1:30-10pm. So let me know how I can help.
