We're getting married!!!

We met at Clemson through our campus ministry, but for a couple years, we mostly just ran in similar circles without getting to know each other very well. Then, at a Halloween party in Fall 2023, Alaina ended up outside to escape watching the movie 'Nacho Libre', and Levi decided to keep her company. It was the first prolonged one-on-one conversation we'd ever had, and we discovered we had many more common interests than either of us expected.

The next semester, our paths started to cross more regularly; both of us wanted to get to know each other more, although neither of us were seeking anything more yet. Levi would organize weekly Bible study prep, and often Alaina would be the only one to show up. We didn't always stay on topic, but as we talked, we each were drawn more into the depths of the person beneath the surface. It felt like we could keep talking forever and not get tired of it; and one night, after Levi gave Alaina a ride back from a movie, we accidently talked until the sun was rising! When Thanksgiving break hit, Levi realized that, more than everything else at Clemson, he missed Alaina. Alaina didn't realize until a bit later, when she gave Levi a birthday gift in early December, and it hit her how much his happiness meant to her. After a lot of discussion over Christmas break, we both decided to start dating.

The year since, though full of challenges, has only brought us closer together. We've shared laughter, tears, joy, pain, and a whole lot of food, and we've both come to realize that we want to spend the rest of our lives together. When SC saw a rare snowfall in January 2025, Levi seized the opportunity to propose to her the next day in the Clemson botanical gardens, even though the ring wasn't ready yet. We immediately started planning our wedding, but Levi still had another surprise up his sleeve.

In anticipation of when the ring would be ready, Levi planned a second proposal and engagement party with the help of Alaina's maid of honor Mikayla as well as both his and Alaina's parents. In early February, he secretly took the day off work and surprised her with the ring while she was in downtown Greenville with Mikayla; then he took her to her parents' house for a celebration with some of their close family and friends. Now armed with a new ring and fresh determination, we both are taking to the wedding planning with gusto, and are very excited to celebrate with you the start of a new chapter together in May.
