Information to Get Base Access for Ceremony and Welcome Reception
• Everyone over 18 years old will need to bring a Real ID and submit their information in the below link to have a background check and gain access to base • Once submitted, the Camp Lejeune staff will reach out by email in April as they review everyone’s information • Deadline for submitting information is 3/28/2026 • You will need to pick up a paper pass from Alaina or Jarred prior to going on base (driving or shuttle) – we will send out more information to coordinate https://www1.mcieast.usmc.mil/IARA/ This must be completed to have base access. You will not be able to attend the ceremony or welcome reception unless you submit this information If you have any questions, reach out to Jarred (through Alaina if needed)

Gate Access to Camp Lejeune
We recommend using the Holcomb Gate to enter base. It is listed in Google Maps. From the Holcomb Gate, that road leads straight down to Onslow Beach and the Chapel with minimal turns. Tips for the Gate: • Gate Guards are like Police Officers, drive up, roll down your window, and show your ID and pass • If you have questions, you can ask them - they may not have an answer • The gate is not scary - it is better to drive to a checkpoint and talk to get reoriented than make a wild u-turn in traffic (this is suspicious and makes it more likely for the guards to pull you over)

ILM is located about 1.5 hours from the Camp Lejeune/Swansboro area.

RDU is located about 2.5 hours from the Camp Lejeune/Swansboro area. Typically, there are more flight and rental car options here compared to ILM.

OAJ is a smaller regional airport located less than 1 hour from the Camp Lejeune/Swansboro area.

We have a hotel block at the Islander Hotel and Resort in Emerald Isle, from May 8, 2026 - May 10, 2026. There will be transportation to the ceremony, reception, and back to the Islander Hotel and Resort on May 9, 2026. Call to book in the Scifo/Gillie Wedding block, (252)-354-3464! Please book early, May is the start of busy season for Emerald Isle! The Islander Hotel and Resort is about 1.5 hours from Wilmington, NC (ILM) and 2.5 hours from Raleigh, NC (RDU).

REAL ID Information
Non-REAL ID compliant driver’s licenses or identification cards are no longer authorized for access to base, WITHOUT ADDITIONAL PROOF OF IDENTITY. If you have a Non-REAL ID, you must also bring additional documents: -a U.S. passport or -the combination of an original or certified true copy of a birth certificate bearing a raised seal, social security card, and non-REAL ID compliant driver’s license or State issued identification card (all three documents must bear the same name. If the name on the documents is different due to marriage, divorce or legal name change, supporting documents such as a Court Order, Marriage Certificate or Divorce Decree of acceptable name change must be provided.) In this case, if the individual cannot provide all three of the source documents an escort is required, or access will be denied.
