Question
When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?
Answer
We kindly ask that you RSVP by September 21st, 2026. Please submit your response through our wedding website (www.andyandalaina.com) at your earliest convenience. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
Answer
The attire for our wedding is Black Tie Optional. Tuxedos are preferred but dark suits with ties are also appropriate. Gowns for ladies.

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?
Answer
Both our ceremony and reception will be held at The Island House on Johns Island, SC (approximately 20 minutes from downtown Charleston). The ceremony will take place outdoors, followed by cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing all on-site.

What will the weather be like this time of year?
Answer
November is one of our favorite times of year in Charleston! Temperatures are typically mild, with daytime highs in the upper 60s to low 70s and cooler evenings in the 50s. Since the celebration will be outdoors, we recommend bringing a light wrap or jacket for the evening. Heaters will also be provided if necessary.

Do you have hotel blocks for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?
Answer
Yes! We have reserved room blocks at two hotels in downtown Charleston for our guests. Please visit the Travel page of our website for booking details, special rates, and additional lodging information.

Will transportation be provided?
Answer
Yes! Complimentary shuttle transportation will be provided between our two host hotels and The Island House on the wedding day. Shuttles will transport guests to the ceremony prior to the wedding and return guests to the hotels at the conclusion of the reception. Guests staying elsewhere are also encouraged and welcome to utilize the shuttle service by making their way to one of the designated pickup locations. Additional pickup and return information will be shared closer to the wedding weekend.

What time should I arrive?
Answer
We recommend arriving 20-30 minutes before the ceremony begins to allow plenty of time to get settled before the festivities begin. For guests utilizing our complimentary wedding transportation, shuttle pickup times will be scheduled to ensure everyone arrives comfortably before the ceremony starts. Additional transportation details will be shared closer to the wedding weekend.

What happens after the ceremony?
Answer
Following the ceremony, guests will be invited to enjoy cocktail hour with live music, drinks and hors d'oeuvres while we take a few photos nearby. Dinner, dancing, and the rest of the celebration will follow shortly after.

Will food and drinks be served?
Answer
Absolutely! Guests will enjoy cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres, a full dinner reception, dessert, and an open bar throughout the evening.

Will dietary restrictions be accommodated?
Answer
We want all of our guests to enjoy the celebration. Please note any dietary restrictions or food allergies when submitting your RSVP, and we will do our best to accommodate them.

Are there other wedding events I can attend?
Answer
Yes! We would love for you to join us at our Welcome Party on Thursday evening, the night before the wedding. Additional details can be found on the Events page of our website.

Am I invited to the rehearsal dinner?
Answer
Our rehearsal dinner will be limited to our wedding party and immediate family. We are so excited to celebrate with everyone afterward at the Welcome Party and throughout the wedding weekend!

Are kids welcome?
Answer
While we absolutely adore your little ones, our wedding weekend events will be adults-only unless otherwise noted on your invitation. We hope this allows everyone a relaxing evening to celebrate with us, and we truly appreciate your understanding.

Can I bring a plus one?
Answer
Due to venue capacity, we are only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation and RSVP. Thank you so much for understanding as we celebrate with our closest family and friends.

Should I rent a car?
Answer
Not necessarily. If you are staying at one of our host hotels and plan to use the wedding shuttles, a rental car is not required. Uber and Lyft are also readily available throughout the Charleston area.
