We met three summers ago working at Austin Sunshine Camps together (Justin was Lainey's boss, oops). There's a bit of discrepancy around when we actually started dating but we both agree it was more or less a "love at first sight" kind of deal. Lain remembers Justin's friend, David, saying, "So, you think Lainey's cute, huh?" when she walked away after they first met. Justin remembers Lainey giving him sass during lifeguard training and telling him he should "try being nicer if he wanted staff to listen to him." The rest is history.

Our first "official" date was at Austin Bouldering Project, a place we've frequented together over the years. One Friday night, we met our pal, Manny, for a climbing session. Justin and Manny were acting suspicious and whispering to each other in secret. When Lain came off the wall and asked why no one else was climbing, Justin started reminiscing about the past three years together. Manny moved away and popped out his phone to film. Justin proposed. Lain was in shock but still managed to squeak out her answer: "Yes!" And soon, we'll make it official. We're so excited to celebrate this next step with y'all! See you in Austin!
