We Still Do!

August 5, 2005—We stood beside each other, young and full of dreams, promising forever. We were barely in our early twenties, believing that love could conquer anything. And in so many ways, it did. The years unfolded, bringing us joys we never imagined and challenges we never expected. Three children later, our days became a whirlwind of laughter, bedtime stories, and the kind of chaos that only a family can create. There were moments when love felt effortless—like the quiet comfort of your hand in mine. And there were moments when love was a choice—when exhaustion stole tenderness, when frustration built walls, when life tested us in ways we never saw coming. But through it all, we stayed. Now, 20 years later, we stand together again. Not as the same wide-eyed couple we were back then, but as partners who fought, grew, loved, and endured. Our love has been tested, shaped by struggles and strengthened by resilience. We've learned that love is not just romance—it’s commitment, patience, and choosing each other every single day. As we renew our vows, we speak not with youthful innocence but with the wisdom of experience. Love is not perfect. Love is not always easy. But love, true love, is relentless. It is waking up and choosing each other, again and again. And just as we did on that beautiful day in 2005, we ask our family—those who have walked this journey with us—to stand with us once again. To witness, to celebrate, and to remind us that love is never just about two people—it is built on the foundation of those who lift us up, support us, and walk beside us through every season of life.
