Samir and Akta met the modern way by swiping right on DilMil! Their story began in December of 2021 when Samir made the first move and sent a witty message that caught Akta’s attention. His charm worked its magic and they instantly connected! After a week of friendly messages and all day long calls and FaceTimes, they decided to take things offline and meet for their first date in Arlington, VA where they talked for hours over Mexican food & margs. They ended their date with a surprise planned by Samir to a Christmas themed popup bar that Akta had briefly mentioned on one of their many calls. The months following consisted of many trips back and forth between Arlington and Richmond, numerous adventures, lots of laughs and infinite memories. Ten months later, Samir decided it was time to pull off the biggest surprise and planned Akta’s dream proposal. Obviously, Akta said yes! As they say, when you know, you know and that is exactly what happened with Samir and Akta. From the moment they met, they knew it was meant to be and now they can’t wait to celebrate their love with all of their friends and family in September!
