We want to start by saying how good God is. Not just now because we found each other, but because He is always good, and He knew exactly what He was doing by preparing our hearts for each other so that we would meet at the perfect time. That perfect time was January 20, 2025, at The Coffee Shop in Gilbert, AZ, set up by Kevin liking Alexa’s Hinge profile (dating app) at 3:00am two days earlier because he couldn’t sleep that night. We were blessed with an immediate connection and enjoyed sitting on the patio talking for a couple hours. However, scared to express ourselves too early, our relationship almost ended before the third date because we didn’t think our feelings were mutual. Once we revealed our true feelings, we quickly realized “this is who I want to be with”, and we now share our relationship anniversary with Valentine’s Day. Our relationship is centered on God and shared values, filled with memories and laughs all along the way. One of our favorite connections is the one we share for Theology of the Body (shoutout to Michael and Rachel Villanueva for the amazing work they do). We love experiences together, such as baseball games, our trip to Disneyland and Huntington Beach, and off-roading. However, we equally love simple everyday moments together, such as our nightly FaceTimes, leaving love notes for each other, walking Kevin’s dog Rudy, and swinging at the local park! On September 20, 2025, she said, “Yes!” to Kevin’s proposal during a picnic at Mt. Claret Retreat Center. It was an amazing day, and being able to celebrate dessert surrounded by our families was extra special.
