Akshi and Benji met in the dreamy city of New York during COVID. Not exactly the most romantic timing, and yet somehow, perfectly theirs. She was in the middle of her master’s program, and he was surviving his internal medicine year. Despite coming from completely different worlds, they instantly clicked. It felt less like meeting a stranger and more like finding a best friend they had somehow always known. From day one, laughter came easily, conversations flowed endlessly, and everything felt effortless and right. Even with the world on pause, it didn’t stop them from exploring everything the city had to offer, creating lifelong memories and discovering just how much they had in common. A shared love for food, music, and adventure became the foundation of something truly special. Then fate quietly stepped in. Benji’s journey took him to Miami and not long after, Akshi’s did too. Miami became a chapter of golden sunsets, late-night dinners, long walks by the water, and evenings that ended on the dance floor. And in March 2025, in the most thoughtful and dreamy way, Benji proposed — surrounded by so much love — the perfect reflection of their journey together. What began with a meeting in Washington Square Park five years ago has grown into a forever kind of love — and they can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with their favorite people, on the best dance floor, surrounded by love.
