Things To Do

If you've never been to Houston, you should know that the food is one of a kind. For suggestions on the best places to eat, feel free to contact the bride, groom, or wedding party. If you are interested in things besides eating, here are a few of our favorite places in the city!
Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park

Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park

2800 Post Oak Boulevard, Houston, TX 77056
, (713) 850-8841

Come take pictures and enjoy this Houston attraction! Then have fun shopping in The Galleria after!

Discovery Green

Discovery Green

1500 McKinney Street, Houston, TX 77010
, (713) 400-7336

This park is in the heart of downtown and always has fun events going on like ice skating and movies on the lawn!

Hermann Park

Hermann Park

6001 Fannin Street, Houston, TX 77030
, (713) 526-2183

Another great park to enjoy in Houston is near the medical center. Plus, Akrem also thinks it's hilarious that there is a Washington Monument look-alike with it's own reflection pool!

McGovern Centennial Gardens

McGovern Centennial Gardens

1500 Hermann Drive, Houston, TX 77004
, (713) 524-5876

Right next to Hermann Park is this gorgeous garden! Plenty of opportunities for great pictures

Children's Museum Houston

Children's Museum Houston

1500 Binz Street, Houston, TX 77004
, (713) 522-1138

If you have kids, you don't want to miss out on this museum. But really, we love this place maybe even more than the kids do!

NASA Johnson Space Center

NASA Johnson Space Center

2101 East Nasa Parkway, Houston, TX 77058
, (281) 483-0123

Can't leave "Space City" without checking out NASA's command center or "Houston, we have a problem" But really, it's a great museum with plenty of interactive things for all ages (Akrem has been 4 times).

POST Houston

POST Houston

401 Franklin Street, Houston, TX 77201
, (713) 999-2550

This is a newer addition to Houston's attractions and we highly recommend it. Great place to get a view of the skyline while eating some amazing food!

Cockrell Butterfly Center

Cockrell Butterfly Center

5555 Hermann Park Drive, Houston, TX 77030
, (713) 639-4629

This attraction is in the Houston Museum of Natural Science (which, along with all the other museums, is free on Thursdays). The exhibit will make you feel like you're in a tropical rainforest surrounded by butterflies rather than Texas in the winter!

For all the days along the way
