It all started with a little matchmaking magic from family and friends… In 2023, fate brought Binet and Akram together in the most unexpected yet perfect way—through Binet’s cousins, who just happened to be friends with Akram. What began as casual introductions quickly blossomed into something neither of them could have anticipated. Binet, born and raised in the city of Harar, carries with her the beauty, warmth, and tradition of her hometown. Akram, on the other hand, grew up in the vibrant city of Toronto, bringing with him a heart full of kindness and a soul grounded in purpose. Despite being from opposite sides of the world, something just clicked. Their first meeting took place in Ethiopia, and right from the start, it was clear they shared something special. Whether it was the long conversations, the shared values, or the laughter that came so easily, they knew they had found someone who felt at home. From that moment on, their journey has been filled with love, respect, and so much joy. They are incredibly grateful for the people who brought them together and can’t wait to start the next chapter of their lives—hand in hand, heart to heart.
