As of December 22, 2021, travelers from outside the EU/Schengen area may enter the Netherlands only if (1) they have proof of vaccination or recovery from COVID AND (2) have proof of a negative COVID test NO MORE THAN 24 HOURS BEFORE TRAVEL.

TO RETURN TO THE US:

From October 1, 2021 you can no longer be tested for free before your trip. You can, among other things, be tested at a test location of your choice.

Go to: https://thecoronalab.nl to make a PCR test appointment in Eindhoven or Amsterdam no more than ONE day before your departure to the USA. The typical cost is approximately €70 per person, or around $80.
