Here's a bit about us and our love story for those that know and those that don't! Either way we can't wait to celebrate with you!
We first met at church, and it didn’t take long for us to notice each other. Stephen thought Vicky was not just cute but incredibly talented. Vicky, on the other hand, thought Stephen was silly—but in an interesting way! At first, Stephen thought Vicky was quiet, but as we got to know each other, her vibrant and playful personality began to shine. And for Vicky? She couldn’t help but notice how thoughtful and kind Stephen was. Every time we drove somewhere together, Vicky would catch herself wanting to blurt out, “I love you!” Stephen says, “When we first started talking, I realized how much I cared about her, but I wasn’t in the right place to be in a relationship. I paused things because I didn’t want to waste her time until I could offer her the best version of myself.” When the time was right, everything fell into place, and our love for each other solidified in a way that felt completely meant to be.
Our first date was to see Aquaman at The Lot. We remember holding hands in the theater and being so excited about spending time together. The moment that stands out the most? Saying goodbye afterward with a kiss in the rain—it truly felt like a scene out of a romantic movie!
As time went on, our relationship grew into something truly special. We’ve worked to be more transparent, understanding, forgiving, and spiritual with each other. Through intentional date nights, moments of reflection, and prayer, we’ve built a partnership that thrives on grace, communication, and faith.
Stephen: “What I love most about Vicky is how she brings out the best in me and makes every moment brighter.” Vicky: “For me, it’s Stephen’s unwavering faith and his sense of humor. He’s the kind of person who makes life feel lighter and more meaningful at the same time.”
Stephen: “I proposed on New Year’s Day, surrounded by family and friends. I wanted it to feel joyful and meaningful. Vicky thought we were just running to the store for juice, but when we got back, everything was set up with roses and candles. I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me.” Vicky: “I was completely surprised! I had no idea it was coming, but it was perfect. After I said yes, we celebrated with everyone, sharing a meal, laughter, and so much love and advice from the people closest to us.”
Some of our favorite things to do together include going to the movies, trying new foods, watching cooking and reality shows, and taking long car rides while listening to music and talking. We’ve also created plenty of traditions and inside jokes along the way that keep us laughing and connected. One of our most memorable moments together was a road trip that didn’t exactly go as planned. There were moments of frustration, but by the end, we were laughing, praying, and appreciating how every challenge helps us grow closer.
We dream of building a life rooted in love, faith, and service to others. We want our home to be a place of joy and laughter, where we can create memories and continue to grow together. What excites us most is the opportunity to build a legacy of love and faith, supporting each other every step of the way, and discovering all the adventures God has planned for us.
Our love is the kind of love that sticks: it’s enduring, faithful, and grounded in God’s plan for us. No matter the challenges or surprises life throws our way, we’re committed to holding on to each other, growing stronger together every day. On our wedding day, we want our guests to feel the love, joy, and laughter that define our relationship. But most of all, we want the day to be a celebration of God’s goodness in bringing us together. We can’t wait to share this special day with the people we love most and start this new chapter as husband and wife—and we hope everyone will join in celebrating #StickyLove25 with us!
