Moriah is the straightest shooter you will ever meet and showed Aki what a balanced healthy friendship can look like. She has helped pave the way for who Aki is today and will now pave the way down the aisle.

Jeffrey is someone who has been by LJ's side for most of his life. He won't just be in our wedding, but also walk with us through our marriage. He isn't just representing himself in this role, but also their brother, Anderson. This wedding could not happen without Jeffrey standing at the front.

Hayley is Aki's sister-in-law who has turned into a closer friend than she could have imagined. There is no one on this earth more calm and even-keeled. Both of them grew up with only brothers and the relationship they now have is very important to Aki. She very easily walked into our family dynamic in a way we never thought possible.

Joanna and Aki met at the Dream Center many years ago. She is the epitome of grace and class. You can count on Jojo to give it to you straight while empowering you to be the best version of yourself. That is exactly how Aki was drawn to Joanna. Joanna's heart, confidence and loyalty are her best assets and their similarity in humor and pranks was just a plus.

Sam Nicolas

Sam is LJ's oldest brother and first role model. He puts family first and is always there to talk to laugh with. Sam's laugh is contagious and can break the tension in almost any situation.

Penelope Vazquez

Penelope is Aki's cousin and was her mentor throughout my formative years. She is strong and resilient and the kind of woman Aki hopes to be. Now that they are older Penelope and Aki have become very close friends more than just family. They are able to be vulnerable and transparent with each other and start laughing in the next moment. They also share a love for laying on the couch and watching TV for as long as possible.

MT Nicolas

MT is LJ's next oldest brother. He is empathetic and a shoulder to lean on when LJ needs to be talked off a cliff. He also knows James Gunn.

Kai Tayag

Kai is Aki's aunt, but the closest thing to a sister she had growing up. Most of their summers were spent watching 90's classics, baking and swimming. Their relationship has continued to grow just like they have. Like in childhood Aki has continued to follow very closely in Kai's footsteps. Regardless of time or distance there isn't anything that can change the relationship they have.

Jalen Williams

Jalen and LJ have been close since college. They introduce each other to people as brothers because that is what they are. Jalen is someone LJ can call on in a crisis and know he will show up no matter where what he is doing. They are truly the epitome of brothers for life.

Rachel Nicolas

Rachel is LJ's only sister. She is smart and funny and much cooler than either of us. She will be protected at all costs if we have anything to say about it. Aki has never had a younger sister and so their relationship is very sacred to her. More than that, she is the first girl LJ ever felt a real sense of protection and pride over and that kind of love will never change.

Kevin Destin

LJ and Kevin met in college as well. Kevin has always been the dad of the friend group, constantly giving sound advice and talking everyone down from making drastic decisions. His opinion is one that LJ cherishes and holds in high regard. Kevin is wise and calm, but will roast you harder than anyone else.

Alina Jones

Alina and Aki have known each other for longer than they would consider each other "friends." One night when Aki was still Alina's leader at The Dream Center they had a conversation that changed the way they saw each other and the rest is history. Although they have lived thousands of miles away from each other for most of their friendship their bond has stayed just as strong as ever. Knowing her also makes Aki much cooler.

LJ and Christian have also been close since college. They're values and drive to build a legacy and a family forces them to push each other to greatness. Christian is the kind of loyal friend you always want in your corner. He's the kind of person who will fight by your side and ask questions later. He and Aki are also twins in all the ways he and LJ aren't.

Becca and Aki have been friends since their freshman year of high school. They became fast friends from the locker room talks to passing notes between classes to going to school dances. Becca has always been someone Aki has been able to rely on to give it to her straight and make her laugh. Years can go by without them seeing each other, but nothing will ever change between them.

Alexis is one of the first people Aki became significantly close to after moving to Boston. They remind each other to be strong and independent but transparent enough to lean on each other when necessary. Once they became roommates they became pretty inseparable. She has also become like another sister to LJ making her very important to both of us.
