Let me start by saying — Akhila said “I love you” first. We were 18 and 19 when our paths first crossed on a cold Milwaukee winter night. After separating from our friend groups at a party, we gravitated toward one another and talked for hours. She was skeptical of me at first — and may have dodged my first attempt at hanging out - but she was the first to say those three words. Not long after, Lucy joined us, with Clive following five years later. Akhila is kind, energetic, and endlessly curious. I was lucky the night I met her. She introduced me to the travel bug, and we’ve been adventuring ever since — from New Orleans to the National Parks, Miami Beach to St. Maarten, Summerfest to Scottsdale. Being able to lean on one another requires a strong foundation. Over the years, that foundation has been built through shared memories with friends and family. We are so thankful for the blessings and special moments we’ve shared with our parents and grandparents, siblings, nieces and nephews, aunties and uncles, cousins, and friends. As life tends to do, it has presented obstacles and challenges. And as they say, pressure forms diamonds. We’ve tested each other at times, but those moments have only strengthened our bond and created an unshakable trust, respect, and love. As we begin this next chapter, we are excited and humbled to continue this journey together. From Bangalore to Wisconsin, we feel incredibly blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful people. Thank you for being part of this special time in our lives.
