Most people know how we met—but not everyone does! We matched on Facebook Dating in February 2024 (yes, Facebook had a dating app!). Neither of us expected much, but after a nearly four-hour first date, we knew something was different. The very next day, Austin called his brother Tristen and said he was going to marry Kailee. Around the same time, Kailee told her mom the same thing—because he felt like home. We had both come out of serious, long-term, and painful relationships, and because of that, the peace and connection we felt with each other only confirmed what we already knew: this was it. The one we had both been waiting for. That past brought its own challenges, but it also shaped the way we love each other—with intention, honesty, and grace. Through every up and down, we’ve supported one another, grown stronger, and drawn closer to God in the process. Austin proposed on November 3, 2024, in one of our favorite places—Brown County. At a scenic lookout spot at the Nature Center, he asked Kailee to turn around so he could “take a picture,” and when she turned back, he was down on one knee. Her parents, Bri, and Margo were hiding nearby to witness the whole moment! Since then, our life together has been filled with love, learning, a whole lot of laughter, and growth. We’re still getting to know each other more deeply every day—figuring out how to best love, support, and show up for one another. We’re committed to walking this journey hand in hand, with faith, laughter, and plenty of brunch dates along the way.
