Alexis and Kyle started talking in April 2018 after discovering that they mutually followed each other on Twitter. Their first date was in Iowa City, Iowa where they went for drinks at Donnelly's Pub and dinner at Bluebird Cafe. Kyle asked Alexis to be his girlfriend on May 13th, 2018. They had a long distance relationship with Kyle living in Omaha, Nebraska and Alexis in Coralville, Iowa until Alexis graduated from the University of Iowa in May 2019. In June 2019, they moved into their home in Elkhorn, Nebraska together. In March 2020, they went on vacation to Las Vegas, Nevada. While overlooking the Las Vegas Strip from the top of the Eiffel Tour at the Paris hotel, Kyle got down on one knee and asked Alexis to spend the rest of their lives together.
